things i'm not too sure about:

• what perspective is this told from? the mosquito tent?

• does the object speak for itself or is it part of a bigger narrative? how does an object play a role in a story? how does it function along with the other roles and characters? what does its involvement/invocation look like?

thoughts since then:

• how to make personal work without making it into personal expression? don't really want this to be a “this is my life…deal with it” kind of thing

• it's really about how an object puts on the weight of meaning as its past, its putting-together, the events surrounding it, and what it's witnessed are revealed.

• what patina does it wear? what veil enshrouds it?

• objects occupy space, measure space. objects occupy time, measure time. ??

• it's about how one should never wait for something to arrive. events rather than things, a ceaseless becoming. waiting is infinite deferral.

• it's also about the dulling of one's senses, about not being able to go through the proper rituals, about not having closure, about how time dilutes the tang of events, how they barely touch you with their tepid staleness, and how you struggle to react.
